Deanna Armenti's research is practice-based and explores the intersection between queer identity, embodiment, affect theory and the queer erotic form through the lens of kink and fetish fashion.

At the root of it, Deanna's research explores queer kink identities. She aims to de-stigmatize queer kink, and kink in general, by creating textile pieces that embody and speak to kink experiences. She hopes that her research will provide a better understanding of what kink is, and the affect it has on kink practitioners themselves, whether or not those engaging with her research partake in the kink community themselves.
