Deanna-Armenti-27.jpg

Deanna Armenti is currently attending the Fashion Master’s program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and is in the process of creating her thesis research project. Her research is practice-based and explores the intersection between queer identity and embodiment.

She is currently an editorial assistant for an open access journal called Fashion Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University. She was also a GA for a second year bachelor of fashion course, Design Thinking, Process and Methods for the winter 2022 semester.

Deanna curates her own publication, The Sapphic Printing Press (@thesapphicprintingpress), that focuses on representing queer bodies and voices through publishing an ongoing photo zine called SAPPHIC. SAPPHIC highlights a different guiding theme each issue, features editorial photoshoots, and writing from queer female and non-binary writers worldwide.
